Board of Directors

Dan Garcia

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Garcia served as a rifle company platoon sergeant with 2-7th Cavalry in Vietnam. He was awarded three Purple Hearts, the Silver Star, two Bronze Stars and an Air Medal. 30 years later, Mr. Garcia’s reflections of combat, its toll on humanity and the lasting bonds of military service were published by Army Magazine in a detailed exchange with his former commanding officer.

Mr. Garcia went on to pursue a successful professional career in law, real estate and healthcare. He has also been an influential member of numerous Los Angeles public interest boards and non-profit organizations.

Ronald L. Olson

Mr. Olson is a Director for multiple international corporations, trusts, and educational institutions. He represented veterans’ interests in the landmark case that legally compelled revitalization of the VA campus in West LA.

Bobby Shriver

Bobby Shriver leads the fight for homeless Veterans’ housing in Los Angeles. He is an activist, attorney, journalist and politician living in Santa Monica, California. Bobby Shriver is a global voice for those in need and the driving force behind Vets Advocacy.

Capt. Lance B. Gordon, USN (Ret.)

Lance is an international tax attorney, retired partner at Ernst & Young and former adjunct faculty member at USC Marshall School of Business. He spent thirty years in the US Navy Reserve retiring as a Captain and serving as an intelligence officer in posts around the world. He has been on the board of directors of educational institutions, endowed educational scholarships supporting veterans and is proud to be part of the Vets Advocacy mission.

Adm. Michael Mullen (USN Ret.)

Adm. Mullen is a Los Angeles native and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He is recognized in the veteran community as a distinguished leader in the fight to end veteran homelessness.
